Emergency First Aid at Work Training prepares individuals to provide treatment in emergency situations when a person injures themselves or falls ill.
The Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course is 1 day long and prepares you to respond correctly in emergency situations.
The EFAW Training covers the following topics:
Free Basic First Aid Training online is available below. Please note that this training does not make you a qualified First Aider. To become qualified, you will need to pass the practical assessment.
To obtain an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, you will need to attend additional practical training and an assessment in a classroom. The online course, classroom practical training and assessment meets all guidelines. The resulting qualification is recognised by the HSE.
An Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate is valid for 3 years, after which it is invalid. To renew your first aid qualification, a delegate must attend a 2-day requalification course. This will renew the First Aid at Work Certificate for another 3 years.
Being a refresher course, a lot of contents of the training will have been previously covered by delegates.
During the emergency first aid at work refresher course, delegates go through basic first aid training skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. This includes: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
Relearning these skills is not only a mandatory requirement but is necessary for maintaining a safe environment in the workplace for both people and work colleagues.
